Download and verify
Section titled “Download and verify”Use the Aleph download page, then select Download Aleph for macOS. The canonical route is /download/mac. The download is a DMG of 2,147,899,058 bytes (about 2.00 GiB).
Expected SHA-256:
4f08a4e7bf6494a316473359aba9cd086a1e11fddc9dc16b7456e2b13d7fe05dIn Terminal, run shasum -a 256 on the downloaded DMG and compare the full value above before opening it. The release documentation and third-party notices are in the DMG’s Documentation directory.
Install and open
Section titled “Install and open”Open the DMG and drag Aleph.app to Applications. Aleph 0.1.1 is ad-hoc signed and not notarized. macOS Gatekeeper may prevent the first launch because it cannot verify the developer or check the app for malicious software. Only proceed if you intentionally downloaded Aleph from this site and verified its checksum.
Try opening Aleph once. If macOS blocks it, open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll to the security message for Aleph, choose Open Anyway, and confirm Open when prompted. Apple documents this manual exception flow. Do not disable Gatekeeper globally or remove quarantine attributes.
The application uses local workspaces and services; network access occurs when you intentionally use a remote model, OAuth, connector, or another connected provider. The Qwen 8B model weights are not included in this DMG and require separate provisioning.
